.READING: HOBBY OR HABIT

Wise-man say that reading is a good habit. Some of us are using it a hobby. By both ways it is worthwhile. But we should be care about our reading. It can even change us a lot. Once a famous philosopher told that tell me what are you reading, I shall tell you who are you. Yes reading change our life both positively and negatively. If we read good materials we will be a good person. I mean our thought and behaviors will be like that. vice versa, bad materials change us badly. So let us try to read more and more good books and can change our world accordingly.

But, actually reading is neither a habit nor a hobby for me. It is an obsession. It is the thread that runs through my life holding things together, the thread that held me together when I was younger and my life was a mess. Reading is both my escape and my tie to reality.

I sound melodramatic, I'm sure, but I'm just voicing my thoughts here. *shrugs* I started reading before I started talking, and the easiest way for me to pinpoint when something happened to me is what books I was reading at the time. If I was very young, it was likely horror novels, and then a little later, the "classics". Philosophical and religious works when I was in elementary school and junior high, children's  books when I was in high school because I finally realized they have merit of their own, after having ignored them throughout my own childhood. Back to horror novels when I spent a few years pretty much lying on what I thought would be my deathbed, and now a smorgasbord of pretty much every kind of fiction or non-fiction book I can get my hands on. Back to history and religion at the moment too, because I live more in the spirit world than the physical.

I don't believe in "bad materials" I think. I believe that even books that are "bad" can be good for you if you choose to read them in a way that influences you positively, just as even negative parts of our lives cause us to grow. If I read a book whose author had an outlook I don't agree with, I think "What caused this person to become this way? How can I avoid that in my own life? What kind of different philosophies and ideas could have been applied here instead?" That's my way of thinking at least.

But how can u practice your hobby if there is no enough material? No need to worry anymore because this fact absolutely can overcome this matter. By using your fingertips, u can get a reading material easily! What about secondhand books? Most of us prefer it isn't it? Yeaa.. secondhand books is also available online. I'm sure that the gradient of your smile will increase.
